Lisandro Aristimuño is an Argentinian musician, composer and producer. Born and raised in Patagonia, he is considered "the most original, versatile and emotional artist of the last decade". He is coming to the Maschinenhaus in Berlin for an intimate concert.
As one of the young pioneers of the independent scene, he has released ten albums on his own label "Viento Azul". He has been awarded the Premios Gardel seven times, received a Latin Grammy nomination for his album "Mundo Anfibio" and was named one of the five most important personalities in Argentinian music by Konex.
Aristimuño combines elements of Argentine folklore, rock, pop and electronica in his work. By mixing bombos, acoustic instruments, electronic sounds, wind instruments and strings, he creates his own world of ideas. His poetry always conveys his deep longing for freedom, personal growth and joie de vivre - without letting the melancholy that is characteristic of every inhabitant of Patagonia shine through.
This will be an intimate concert with selected songs from his extensive repertoire.
"Since his debut in 2004, he has been an unknown Argentine singer, a pioneer of a new generation of songwriters, a respected producer and a recognized composer." (Rolling Stone)
