DJ Seinfeld is one of the leading figures of the modern house revival and will be bringing his distinctive sound to the Kesselhaus Berlin on 2 October 2026. With his blend of melancholic lo-fi textures, warm samples and driving club beats, the Swedish-born artist has built up a loyal global fanbase and generated millions of streams.
Since tracks such as “U”, “Time Spent Away From U” and “These Things Will Come To Be”, DJ Seinfeld has come to represent a new generation of electronic music that blends emotion with the dancefloor. His debut album “Time Spent Away From U” (2017) quickly became a cult release on the scene and established him as one of the leading figures of lo-fi house. With “Mirrors” (2021), he consistently developed his sound further – with clearer production, a more introspective tone and an even stronger focus on songwriting.
His sets are far more than classic DJ performances: DJ Seinfeld creates immersive soundscapes that oscillate between euphoria and melancholy, between intimacy and club ecstasy. International festival appearances and sold-out club shows underline his status as a fixture on the global electronic music scene.
Born Armand Jakobsson in Malmö, DJ Seinfeld began his career outside the traditional structures of the music industry. Inspired by internet culture, a DIY aesthetic and a new wave of bedroom producers, he developed his distinctive sound at an early stage. Whilst many artists associated with the lo-fi house trend quickly faded from view, he successfully made the transition to a more mature, multi-layered musical approach.
His current productions showcase an artist who is constantly evolving without losing sight of his roots. Moving between club-oriented tracks and emotionally charged compositions, DJ Seinfeld continually reimagines electronic music – personal, accessible and yet deeply rooted in the underground. The show in Berlin promises precisely this breadth: an intense live experience straddling the nostalgia and future of house music.
