Zak Abel is a British singer-songwriter and producer who became known for his strong voice and his genre mix of pop, soul, country and electronic music in the mid-2010s. Since his breakthrough feature on Tom Misch's song "Beautiful Escape" and his own successful songs such as "Unstable", "All I Ever Do (Is Say Goodbye)" (both 2017), he has continued to develop not only as a solo artist but also as a collaborator. In addition to his own music, Zak Abel has worked on various projects and collaborated with artists such as Avicii, Steve Aoki, Don Diablo, Alok, Alan Walker and Kygo. In April, the Brit will be back on tour. In Germany, he will be performing live at YUCA in Cologne and Maschinenhaus in Berlin.
Zak Abel could actually have made a career as a table tennis player. in 2009 he was ranked number 1 in the English Cadet age group and became Cadet Boys' Singles National Champion at the age of 14 and one of England's top 5 players under the age of 18. Nevertheless, he devoted himself to his second great passion: music, which saw him sing at Wembley Stadium during his primary school years by winning a competition at Israel's Yom Haatzmaut celebration. Zak Abel began releasing music in 2015 and, following the release of his debut EP "Joker Presents", celebrated his first hit with his feature on Tom Misch's song "Beautiful Escape", which really kick-started his career. This was followed by the EP "One Hand on the Future" (2015) and several singles, which further cemented the singer's international breakthrough. in 2017, Zak Abel released his debut album "Only When We're Naked", which entered the top 100 of the British album charts. After further singles and hugely successful features on Don Diablo's song "Bad" (2020) and Kygo's song "Freedom" (2020), he landed his next hit in 2024 with "For Life" - another collab with Kygo feat. Nile Rodgers - the next hit. At the beginning of 2025, Zak Abel released the singles "Home" and "My Way" and returned with new music for the first time since the release of his album "Love Over Fear" (2023). The tracks were created with Robin Stjernberg and Ollie Green and demonstrate Abel's soulful songwriting and vocal skills. This was followed in June by the duet "Brother To Me" with British singer Rhys Lewis, which deals lyrically with mental health and male vulnerability. After further collaborations with Vandelux, LMNT 115 and Ryan Mack, Zak Abel released the moving ballad "Champagne Supernova" as another single in 2025 and followed up the emotional sound of the ballad with the driving singer-songwriter track "Hallelujah" in January 2026.
