US singer-songwriter Julia Wolf celebrated her biggest success in 2024 with the single "In My Room" and was quickly regarded as a breakthrough candidate with an exciting year ahead of her in 2025. Her music combines banging alternative rock, atmospheric metal and modern pop with experimental beats and her versatile voice to create an almost uncategorizable mix that harmoniously unites different worlds and is constantly evolving. After a feature on mgk's song "iris" in May 2025, her brand new album "PRESSURE" followed at the end of the month, released via AWAL and showcasing Julia Wolf's diverse sound across 11 tracks. The singer recently supported Artemas on his tour. Now she announces supports for Halsey and PVRIS and looks forward to an eventful summer with a sold-out headline show at London's Oslo Hackney and a performance at the 2000Trees Festival. On her PRESSURE EU/UK TOUR, Julia Wolf is coming to Germany in December to present her new album and will be performing live in Cologne and Berlin. Support will come from SCRO, who produced Julia Wolf's new album.
After her debut single "Captions" in 2019, the musical style of New York musician Julia Wolf has developed steadily. After further singles, her debut EP "Girls In Purgatory" was released in 2021, which is clearly in the singer-songwriter genre with the successful song "In My Way". On her second album "Good Thing We Stayed", Julia Wolf experimented with modern trap beats ("Hot Killer") and a modern pop approach ("Get Off My"). Her new album "PRESSURE" (2025) presents the singer's most versatile work to date with the viral hit single "In My Room" (2024) and draws on influences from emo, shoegaze and metal. While "FYP" stands out with a modern hip-hop texture and combines this with metal riffs, "Jennifer's Body" can be categorized as a grunge and pop-punk-influenced singer-songwriter ballad. The album tells unfiltered stories from the emotional burden of expectations - from the industry and society to the inner emotional world of the singer-songwriter - and is thus dedicated to the darker sides of herself. That the album is based on a heavier sound, ranging from guttural screams and hyper-pop beats ("Pearl") to soulful melodies ("Sunshine State"), is a logical consequence of the creative process and represents the album as Julia Wolf's most fearless and well-rounded release to date.
