Turkish artist Reynmen, whose real name is Yusuf Aktaş, became an internet sensation thanks to his charismatic presence on social media. Growing up in Bağcılar, Istanbul, after his family moved from İskenderun to Sivas, Aktaş initially studied radio and television. He first became known under the pseudonym Reynmen via the platform Scorp and subsequently built up a huge fan base on YouTube and Instagram. His combination of comedy clips and music appealed to an audience of millions.
His single "Derdim Olsun" attracted particular attention and was viewed over 200 million times in just six months. With the song "Ela", released on July 12, 2019, Reynmen set a new record: Within 22 hours, the music video recorded 14 million YouTube views - more than 3.5 times the previous peak. The track reached number 51 in the German charts and number 61 in the Austrian charts, consolidating its international success.
The South Korean jazz ensemble DOLTANG takes a completely different but equally fascinating musical approach. With their artistic vision of embedding Korea in the global context of jazz localization, the band creates soundscapes of structural clarity and emotional depth. Their compositions fuse complex rhythmic patterns with catchy melodies and unfold an unfiltered expressiveness in improvised moments that captivates listeners.
DOLTANG has already performed on renowned European stages - including Jazzahead 2024 in Bremen, the MUK in Austria and the Opus Jazz Club in Hungary. Their award-winning album "Surface of Time" was named "Best Album 2022" by leading jazz magazine MM Jazz. Her new work "Invisible Worker" will be released in May 2025 on Unit Records and promises to continue her impressive musical journey.
