She is the Dutch pop sensation par excellence: Davina Michelle has been delighting more and more fans for years and is already considered one of the most successful artists in her home country. Born Michelle Davina Hoogendoorn in 1996, she simply reversed her two first names for her stage name. Her career originally began with a participation in the Dutch casting show "Idol". Although she was eliminated in the third round, she had already gained many new fans - and decided to start a YouTube channel shortly afterwards. From spring 2017, she published weekly cover versions of well-known English-language pop songs there. Her expressive and recognizable voice soon inspired many fans from all over the world. When she uploaded her version of the P!nk hit "What about us", P!nk herself shared the video with the words "This is what my song should actually sound like!". The clip quickly went viral - to date, the video has reached over 23 million views. Davina took advantage of the worldwide attention and gained more fans at her first own concerts in Europe and the USA. She initially released several of her own songs in Dutch - three of which reached number one in the national charts and multi-platinum status. With her international fan base behind her, she began releasing more of her own songs in English in 2020. Her debut album "My Own World" followed in August of the same year. The single "I Said NO Sir" was released in April of this year and is the first single from her second album, which will be released in the fall. The song is an energetic declaration of strength and a stand against sexual harassment. She has already been able to show off her concentrated stage energy and powerful voice at various live performances: from the interval performance at the Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam to support shows for P!nk and Maroon5 to the opening of the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Zandvoort, she has thrilled audiences. Davina's first extensive European tour starts in the fall with shows in the Netherlands, Belgium, Great Britain and Germany. In Berlin, fans old and new can experience the magic of this pop star up close!
