About Motta Maadi Music:
Started by Chennai-based sound engineer and musician Badhri Narayanan and his bandmates, Motta Maadi Music began as a rooftop jam session open to all and has now been moved to packed auditoriums. The special thing about it is that the responsibility for singing lies with the audience. Before the show, the lyrics are published so that the audience can go through them and prepare.
Motta Maadi Music's shows are usually completely sold out! For a show at the Music Academy, Chennai, with almost 4000 seats, a record of 10 minutes was set for ticket sales!
