For everyone who knows what a ceilidh is: finally! Berlin is getting its regular Ceilidh, every Thursday at the Kulturbrauerei. For all those who are curious: an evening of dancing to live Scottish-Irish music. No previous knowledge necessary, each dance is explained beforehand by the caller of the Ceilidh band. Come and dance as you are, no matter how old, whether alone or with friends, with or without a partner - there are dances in all kinds of formations, from two to three to eight to many, and for each dance there is a call for how many are required. A ceilidh is very sociable and a great way to meet new people. The music is very energetic and provides a good end to even the most difficult day. Caution! Ceilidh is addictive. How good that the next date has already been set.
Nightlark are Patrizia Sieweck, violin/caller, Jane South, flute/accordion, and Robert York, guitar.
