Katharina Kollmann has been releasing music under the name Nichtseattle since 2017. The singer-songwriter, who grew up in Berlin-Karlshorst, had previously released English-language music under the name Lake Felix, but began writing music in German with Nichtseattle.
After her first, self-released album "Wendekid" (2019), her second album entitled "Kommunistenlibido" was released in 2022 on the Staatsakt label and brought her a lot of attention.
"Frau Sein" is now the name of the first single release by Nichtseattle from her new double album "HAUS", which will be released on April 12, 2024. 12 new songs that she recorded with her band and choir. 12 new songs about precarity, about necessary solidarity, about clans and necessary shelters.
In spring, she and her band will go on an extensive tour of Germany, ending with a concert at the Maschinenhaus.
