Summer, sun, beer garden. Already successfully tested last year, we start this year with sunshine music from the Caribbean island of Jamaica. Reggae feeling in the most beautiful atmosphere in the frannz beer garden! Singing along and dancing are expressly desired!

On Tuesday, June 27, we invite you to the Reggae Special in the beer garden from 6 pm. TriXstar, Vido Jelashe & Band and Mellow Mark will be there. DJ Lou Large will accompany on the turntables. The evening will be hosted by Christoph Schrag, the well-known editor and host of the radio show "Unsigned" at Radio Fritz from RBB.

The artists will be selected and presented by the Kesselhaus team. Personal stories meet the professional view.

See you in the frannz beer garden!

TRIXSTAR TriXstar is a talented German-Persian singer known for her unique reggae and dancehall style. Born in Iran and raised in Germany, she is influenced by both cultures and writes music that reaches her listeners on an emotional level. With her powerful alto voice, she sings songs that encourage women to reach their full potential and break free from societal gender roles. TriXstar's music is fed by her experiences as a Persian woman in Germany. Since the start of the protests in Iran, she has begun to address the situation in her home country. Her songs about love and empowerment are especially strong in the context of her Persian heritage, and TriXstar doesn't try to hide her roots either. She is a proud Iranian woman who also takes a clear stand when it comes to women's rights in Iran.

VIDO JELASHE Vido Jelashe was born in Cape Town was musically influenced at an early age by his grandmother who sang and played the organ in a church. He started going to reggae clubs, especially in the neighborhood, and sang along with the songs played there until someone came to him and told him he should sing in a reggae band. Since the 1980s, Vido has toured Germany and other parts of Europe with numerous projects, including "Noiseshaper" and "Volker Meitz." in 2005, he collaborated with the Berlin Brass Band and released a single titled "Angelina," with which he made it to the ZDF television garden. Vido Jelashe is now on the Kesselhaus Summer Stage with band. Get ready for the "golden voice from South Africa", Vido Jelashe!

MELLOW MARK Mellow Mark, paramedic since the Corona Pandemic, comes to the Kulturbrauerei with his new yet unreleased songs. The 2003 Echo winner, who lives in Potsdam, has been on the road as a musician nomad for 25 years and never tires of spreading his most famous song "Liebe" and singing about the Soul Revolution. With a positive mindset and his unique one man band he plays stand up reggae, sometimes solo, sometimes with guests. He used to run up and down on Viva and MTV, appeared on Stefan Raab's BUVISOCO as well as on THE VOICE OF GERMANY, but always stays true to himself and fights for cosmopolitanism and a better climate and sings about the utopia of a better world. Mellow Mark remains live "unpredictable and 100% thoroughbred musician" (O-Ton Michi Beck).
