MANOLITO Y SU TRABUCO has been considered one of the top Cuban salsa bands for over 30 years. In 1993, the 14-piece orchestra was founded by pianist and bandleader Manolito Simonet and immediately won the Cuban Newcomer of the Year award. As a composer, Manolito is also responsible for many of the band’s top hits, such as “Todavia No,” “Marcando la distancia,” and “El Aguila,” which was honored by ASCAP in the U.S. as the Best Latin Song of 1997. El Trabuco’s unmistakable, powerful sound has been heard on countless international tours, getting audiences around the world up and dancing. Now, after a long absence, they are returning to the Fabrik. A must-see for all salseras, salseros, and fans of Cuban music.
