Teens and young adults studying at STREET COLLEGE will showcase their talents this evening. Under the theme “From Black to Colorful,” you can expect music, film, art, fashion, spoken word, and much more—both on and off stage.
Dress code: All Black
STREET COLLEGE is an educational project by GANGWAY, Street Social Work in Berlin e.V., which follows a radically needs- and strengths-based approach to learning.
Here, the principle of supply and demand is turned on its head: Students determine the course program themselves and can tailor the content to their interests. Currently, the departments of Music & Film, Fine Arts, and the Learning Lab (catching up on high school diplomas) primarily serve adolescents and young adults for whom the traditional education system is not designed.
At STREET COLLEGE, the focus is on personal development through cultural education, not on degrees.
The project is funded by the Senate Department for Education, Youth, and Family Affairs.
