Canadian artist Amanda Marshall is back! After a long hiatus, she’s celebrating her big comeback on German stages with five exclusive shows.
In 1990, the then-16-year-old artist met Canadian guitar legend Jeff Healey and made a lasting impression: he invited the then-unknown singer to join him on his tour of Canada. Healey not only introduced her to a range of new musical influences—including Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Bonnie Raitt—but also inspired her to pursue a professional career in music.
The rest is pop history, one might say: as early as 1994, she signed her first record deal and released her self-titled album the following year. It featured the globally successful Top Ten hits “Let It Rain” and “Birmingham.” This debut marked her international breakthrough, followed by gold and platinum certifications in a total of 15 countries. In Germany, the album remained on the charts for 22 weeks. It’s hardly surprising, then, that Peter Maffay invited her to join him on his tour in 1996. Two more albums followed, both of which achieved multi-platinum status and took her to stages around the world. However, legal disputes led to a hiatus for the Canadian artist starting in 2002.
It took two decades for the artist to return with new music: In 2023, she released the album “Heavy Lifting,” which was re-released in the summer of 2026 as a deluxe edition featuring three new songs. The artist used this release as an opportunity to play an exclusive
showcase in Germany and reconnect with her German fans.
But this was just the beginning: in the spring of 2027, Amanda Marshall is coming on tour in Germany!
