ARTCHIPELAGO 2026 – Experiencing Indonesia
For one day, the Kulturbrauerei will become a hub of Indonesian culture: ARTCHIPELAGO 2026 – Experiencing Indonesia invites visitors to discover the diversity of Indonesia with all their senses. The festival is organized by the Association of Indonesian Students e.V. in Berlin-Brandenburg in cooperation with the House of Indonesian Cultures (Rumah Budaya Indonesia).
The festival focuses on the cultural ties between Indonesia and Germany, as well as the official city partnership between Jakarta and Berlin. The varied program is aimed at people of all ages and invites them to get to know the traditions, music, cuisine, and art of the world’s largest archipelago.
From 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the Kulturbrauerei grounds will be transformed into a lively Indonesian marketplace, with free admission. Visitors can look forward to authentic street food, traditional handicrafts, cultural performances, interactive workshops, and group karaoke and dancing.
In the evening, from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, the Kesselhaus will host “Echoing Through Time,” the festival’s artistic highlight. This immersive musical theater concert tells the stories, memories, and identities of Berlin’s Indonesian community through a unique blend of music, performance, and storytelling. A ticket is required for the evening event.
