"A total work of art," attested the Süddeutsche Zeitung; Laut.de described the wild Munich-based ensemble—which blends math jazz, avant-pop, and prog—as a mix of "Miles Davis and Meshuggah, Zappa and Zorn."
For their latest album, Witchy Activities And The Maple Death, the band received the German Record Critics’ Award and was nominated for the German Jazz Prize in the Best Album category. Der Spiegel declared: “Their third, stunning album is a buzzing, edgy witches’ sabbath charged with feminist superpowers.”
Led by guitarist and composer Monika Roscher, the band shatters the boundaries of traditional big band sounds. Brass arrangements shimmering in a thousand colors, rich guitar riffs, gripping live electronics, a wild rhythm section, and the 18 musicians’ joy of experimentation combine to create a unique musical rollercoaster ride.
