Berlin lies in the East: important spirits and protagonists from Central and Eastern Europe continue to shape Berlin's cultural life to this day.
The aim of our OSTPOL BERLIN festival is to make their influence visible, to allow their current voices and themes to be heard and to redraw the connecting lines between past and present, East and West.
With bilingual events and German translations, readings, concerts, lectures, performances and discussions, we allow the current aspects of our present to shine in the vibrant colors of the arts.
We address a broad, multilingual audience (not only) in Berlin and cordially invite everyone: There are quite a few remarkable and astonishing things to discover here! And new impulses for cultural cooperation in the international cultural scene emanate from here:
Berlin as a real existing spiritual home that enables a lively, innovative, shared culture - OSTPOL BERLIN.
