On July 4, 2026, the Korean Cultural Center will host the K-Countdown Cover Dance Contest at the Kesselhaus of the Kulturbrauerei in Berlin. The Germany-wide competition offers K-pop dance enthusiasts a platform to showcase their skills on a professional stage and experience the atmosphere of a Korean music show.
The contest brings together talented dancers and dance groups from all over Germany and places a special focus on performance, precision and creative interpretation of K-pop choreographies. In addition to the competition, cultural exchange and the promotion of the vibrant K-pop dance community are at the heart of the event.
The participants will compete in front of a high-caliber expert jury made up of renowned personalities from the international dance and K-pop scene. The jury includes HEYSH (Seunghye Kim), a choreographer and performance director working in South Korea with extensive experience in developing choreographies and stage productions for various artists. Also part of the jury is Jay Kim, internationally recognized choreographer of 1MILLION Dance Studio, who has led workshops worldwide and served as a judge at renowned competitions such as the K-POP World Festival and World of Dance. The jury is completed by Valentina Radmann, a professional dancer and dance teacher who has worked with renowned artists in both Germany and South Korea and has extensive experience in performance and dance education.
In addition to the expert evaluation, prizes totaling up to 500 euros will be awarded. With its professional competition format and top-class line-up, the K-Countdown Cover Dance Contest promises to be a special highlight for the K-pop and dance scene in Germany.
