Not much more needs to be said about Forced To Mode - the 3 guys from Berlin are simply considered the world's best Depeche Mode tribute band (depechemode.de, ARD, Sonic Seducer, Orkus, Bild...).
On their last "BLACK CELEBRATION TOUR 2026", the band played in sold-out venues such as the Columbiahalle Berlin and Haus Auensee Leipzig in front of a total of 18,000 enthusiastic people.
Forced To Mode are known for their high-energy live shows as well as their musical concepts, which make the hearts of DM fans beat faster. This is also because their approach always closes gaps left open by the original. And that's exactly where F2M is going again with the upcoming "ULTRA Tour".
Forced To Mode is listening to the insistent calls and wishes of many fans for the "ULTRA TOUR" and is deliberately booking the shows in smaller, more club-friendly venues. Also to emphasize the atmosphere and density of the album even more clearly. The band and promoters consciously keep an eye on capacity to avoid the venues feeling overcrowded. F2M are also introducing another novelty to the ULTRA experience: For the first time, the band is going on a "full-show tour" with a drummer (Marius Lürig)! So you can look forward to classics like "Barrel Of A Gun", "It's No Good", "Useless" or
"Home", but finally also "Freestate", "Insight" or "The Bottom Line" in a suitably designed live version, with lovingly integrated live drums and a show with which F2M will once again set standards in the Depeche Mode tribute scene.
Depeche Mode have only ever left one album "untoured" in their career: ULTRA.
Due to the circumstances (loss of Alan Wilder, condition of Dave Gahan), the band decided in 1997 not to accompany the album with a tour as usual. As a result, the longplayer (often referred to by fans as DM's last classic) was never honored with a live performance. Forced To Mode now want to make up for this backlog and are going on an "ULTRA TOUR" to mark the 30th anniversary of the album - across Germany, with 2 detours to Vienna and Prague. After 3 decades, the great Depeche Mode album "ULTRA" finally finds its well-deserved way onto the stage! The "missing piece" (allusion to the 97 Recoil track fully intended) will be found in spring 2027 and the "tour gap" closed. F2M will perform all the vocal tracks from the album live and create the remaining set as it would probably have been realized in 1997 from the perspective of fans and enthusiasts if this tour had existed 30 years ago.
