There are many cover bands, but only a few tribute bands. Because what FEUERENGEL can do, not all of them can: pay the original the tribute it deserves in a highly professional manner - with no ifs or buts. And they have been doing so for over 20 years. On March 20, 2027, FEUERENGEL will finally be back at Berlin's Kesselhaus der Kulturbrauerei.
Sold-out halls and clubs at home and abroad - and that for decades. How did that happen?
When Boris Delic saw the band Rammstein at a festival in 1997, he immediately realized that he wanted to form a tribute band. Not a cover, but a real tribute. The first line-up was quickly formed, the name was based on the band's role models and the first gigs in youth centers soon followed - with simple pyrotechnics and rudimentary costumes. It is still a hobby.
But the following year, Rammstein's management became aware of the band from northern Germany. An invitation to Berlin followed, where Feuerengel played in front of Rammstein and their guests. A prelude to crazy years: more and more gigs in clubs, halls and at big open airs - in Germany, the Netherlands, Turkey, Luxembourg and Switzerland.
in 2005, Feuerengel played at the Olympiastadion Berlin at a party for Rammstein. The band is now on the road with a large crew. Their own pyrotechnicians ensure that the effects are true to the original, show elements are recreated in great detail and the sound, lighting and stage are closely based on the original. In action, the six musicians are almost indistinguishable. Television stations such as MTV, RTL, NDR, Pro7 and Dutch television report on the long unique tribute band.
in 2016, Feuerengel appear on "My Best Enemy" with Joko Winterscheidt and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf in the Berlin TV studio. The production grows: trucks, warehouse, more staff. Clubs become halls, shows become spectacles. The fan base grows - the idea becomes a way of life.
Today, after almost 30 years and hundreds of shows, it has long since become more than just a hobby. It is still about one thing: paying tribute to Rammstein at the highest level - night after night together with the fans. "Confusingly similar", they say. Goal achieved.
