With 13 internationally acclaimed albums, tours on five continents and performances in renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall and at festivals such as WOMAD, Colours of Ostrava and Yiddish Summer Weimar, The Klezmatics are one of the world's best-known klezmer ensembles. Their musical partners include Itzhak Perlman, Chava Alberstein, Tony Kushner and Arlo Guthrie.
in 2006, the band was the first and so far only klezmer group to win a Grammy Award - for the album "Wonder Wheel: Lyrics by Woody Guthrie". Their music can also be heard in numerous film, theater and TV productions.
The Klezmatics are preparing a major anniversary tour for the band's 40th anniversary in 2026. The plan is to re-release their most important albums - supplemented by previously unreleased material.
