Pop-Kultur 2022 takes place from 24 to 26 August again fully live in the Kulturbrauerei* – with concerts, DJ sets, talks and films, a total of over 120 events.

For the kick-off on August 24, the Pop-Kultur 2022 invites again fully live concerts, DJ sets, talks and films. Day 1 of the three-day festival will feature the first "Commissioned Works," world premieres of exclusive commissioned works. For example, Sean Nicolas Savage presents a one-man musical in which he faces his own fears. Among others, the newly crowned Grammy winner Arooj Aftab (Best Global Music Performance) will perform at the Palais der Kulturbrauerei. Aftab is the first Pakistani artist ever to receive this award - for music that oscillates between Sufi and jazz. London-based Alewya, who mixes trap instrumentals, dub and drum‘n‘bass with Afrobeats, is coming to her first Germany concert. Among others, system-critical Christin Nichols (formerly Prada Meinhoff), rapper Ebow and British singer/songwriter Anna B Savage will play on other stages. Drangsal reads from his first book "Doch".
